Proworkflow migration SQL server 2000 to 2008 and server consolidation

Proworkflow is a SAAS company providing a online project management system for its clients accross the world. Their client databases were accross 3 datacenters, one in Europe, one in North America and one in Australia.
The objective was to migrate to gain server ressources but in the mean time consolidate all the datacenter costs on one datacenter.

Minimum downtime has to be observed and geographical migration has to be done. Additional all maintenance plans had to be sustained depending on the time zone of the client.

The project was completed with success, consolidated on an upgraded sql server (from 2000 to 2008 edition) for all the databases (2000+) with proper capacity planning, without downtime.
Additional work needed to be setup as databases activities were on different timezone; maintenance window such as reindexing, integrity check had to be setup on 3 different schedules based on timezones.
